Double Win for Laver

The Primary and High School sports days were held within a week of each other, both resulting in a golden celebration with Laver taking the honours on both occasions.

With the High School pre-events commencing on Wednesday of Week 6, the House teams started to amass points but scores remained fairly even before the big day. This year, we would like to make special mention of Mrs Wynn, who helped roll out the ReadyGo Sports Day Manager app, enabling live data recording and score updates via smart devices.

Exciting Finish

A special guest appearance from mulit-awarding winning fitness sensation Kwame Duah, as well as Cedar alumni sprint champion, Jayden Chambers, helped to drive spirits and encourage House teams in their final events. As always, the relays were the highlight of the day, full of slick baton changes, on-field tension, and nail-biting finishes.

The final results of the day were:

1st Laver on 1380 points, 2nd Gould on 1360 points, 3rd Bradman on 1178 points, 4th Jackson on 1142 points

Upper Primary Back-to-Back

The morning started with the war cries and student relays, setting an electrifying atmosphere that continued throughout the day. The traditional events of high jump, long jump and sprints were popular places for spectators to gather, as the student cheered one another on.

The novelty events were as popular as ever, with the new slam dunk mat near the high jump giving students the opportunity to bounce to new heights! The sack race, egg and spoon, and water relays were also a fun way to compete and cool down, as the day went by.

Laver takes the Lead

Laver went in with a commanding lead after pre-event results and they stayed on top all day to finish in first place. The final results were:

Laver 1st with 624 points, Bradman 2nd with 560, Jackson 3rd with 528, and Gould 4th with 500
