Homework plays a vital role in a student’s education.
Assignments are designed to reinforce material presented in the classroom or stimulate thinking skills in new areas of learning. Homework also supports the development of character qualities such as self-discipline, obedience, excellence, honesty, and perseverance.
The level and expectations of homework are tailored to each year level to ensure they are both appropriate and beneficial. Parents and caregivers play a crucial role in monitoring and supporting their child’s homework completion. Cedar College respects the importance of family time and will always consider this when setting homework.
Excursions and Extra-Curricular Activities
Excursions, camps, and whole-school sporting events are an integral part of the Middle School experience, and all students are expected to participate in these activities.
Middle School students also have opportunities to engage in a wide range of inter-school sporting activities, including Soccer, Football, Netball, Volleyball, Cross-Country, and Athletics.
