Senior School Food and Hospitality students served up the annual Fusion Lunch to a room of expectant guests, held for the first time in the Creative Arts Centre.

Around 30 guests sat down to the 3-Course menu of homemade pumpkin soup, spicy Moroccan tagine and couscous and sticky date pudding, served with ice cream and toffee sauce.

The food preparation and service was commanded by the Year 12 students, who were aided in their pop-up Fusion Restaurant by Year 10 and 11 waiting staff. A long-time tradition at Cedar College, the Fusion Lunch is planned and designed by the Year 12 students as part of their Food and Hospitality studies, and involves the students in every step of the restaurant process, from menu structure to plating up.

The hearty food and delicious wafting aromas were accompanied by the equally harmonious strains of the Senior School music students, who entertained guests with music and vocal performances throughout the lunchtime service.

The daytime event is the prelude to the much-anticipated Fusion Dinner, which will be held on Wednesday September 6. Tickets for the 5-course Dinner, will be available online and through the High School Office, early in Term 3.
