The Junior Primary are getting their green thumbs out after the arrival of 18 mini sensory and vegetable gardens.

The gardens will promote learning about life-cycles and healthy eating, and also encourage creative free play.

Each junior primary class have adopted a few gardens and planting of herbs, sensory plants and vegetables have already begun. We have discussed the role of sunlight, soil and water for the plants and each class has been presented with a watering can to keep the gardens thriving. The purchase of the barrels were made possible through the generosity of the school community during our Hot Donut fundraiser in Term 4 last year.
