Celebrations – A Piece of Cake
Year 12 Food and Hospitality students’ Celebration Cakes.
Cedar College Year 12 Food and Hospitality students tackle a wide range of topics and skills, beginning with designing and making a Celebration Cake.
During the first few weeks of term, the students were busy learning the intricacies of shaping and icing cakes, as well as learning how to create a range of decorative elements.
In Week 6, the Year 12 Food and Hospitality students completed their celebration cakes, displaying the finished product in the Home Economics Centre.
Each student designed, cooked, and constructed their own cakes, making flowers and decorations from fondant to complete their cake presentation.
