Fresh Beginnings

Tim Heading
The start of a new school year marks the arrival of many changes and fresh beginnings: new teachers, new students and families, new facilities and resources.

There are new school uniforms to wear (we are particularly excited about this one!), new routines to follow, and new ways of approaching learning and community life. For students and families, this season can be both exciting yet overwhelming, filled with anticipation yet perhaps also a little uncertainty about what the year will bring.

When I experience times of much “newness”, I find comfort in the truth that God remains constant. While everything around me may change, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His unwavering presence is my anchor in times of transition, and He is my ever-constant rock, offering stability and peace as I navigate the unknowns ahead. May this be the lived experience of you all as well.

A warm welcome

If you are a new family joining Cedar College this year, I want to extend my heartfelt welcome to you. It is a privilege to have you with us, and I pray that you will find a warm and supportive environment here. Our school community is built on strong and purposeful relationships, and I hope you and your child(ren) will quickly feel at home.

I am also deeply grateful for the new staff members who have joined our team this year. Each one is a unique blessing, bringing their own talents, experiences, and passions to our school. It is clear to me that God has brought them here for a purpose, and I am excited to see the positive impact they will make in the lives of our students and the wider school community.

I look forward to partnering with you all in the journey ahead that is 2025!
