Creative display of Senior Art, Design and Material Products
The Senior Visual Art & Design students held their annual exhibition in the Library, joining with Senior Design & Technology students to showcase their major projects.
On display was student work that covered a wide range of medium and themes including interior design, fashion design, sculpture, watercolour, graphic design and furniture design.
The Journey from idea to reality
Of particular note was the work of the Year 12 Art students, whose finished pieces and portfolios were on display for SACE moderation this week. Outlining the year’s work and the creative journey of each student, the portfolios contribute to a large portion of the Year 12 final SACE assessment.
Also on display was a range of furniture pieces designed and built by the Year 12 Design & Technology students. Each piece began life as a simple wooden pallet, which were re-purposed to become amazing furniture designs including side tables, an esky table, storage units and a dart board cabinet. It is exciting to see so much creativity and effort from our Year 12 students.
