Cedar’s Year 12 class of 2016 officially marked the end of their schooling days with the annual Year 12 Formal on Wednesday night, followed by Thursday night’s Graduation.

The Formal was held at Glen Ewin Estate, in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. The evening began with the opportunity for students to have a class photo with their Reception teachers, who attended the dinner along with a number of other Primary and High School teachers. The remainder of the evening featured a red carpet entrance, a banquet of fine food, games, dancing and many more photos.

The Formal was a fitting prelude to the following evening’s Senior School Graduation and Awards Night, where each of the 47 Year 12s received their Principal’s Gold Medallion and graduation certificate. The awards night recognised students who have excelled in their chosen subjects throughout the year, as well as awards for character – something which Cedar values greatly. Congratulations to the recipients of the Tabor Adelaide Character award, Georgia and Raquel, and the Caltex Best All-Rounder recipient, Hannah.

Cedar’s Sportspersons of the Year were also announced, with Connor and Emily recognised for their incredible sporting achievements during 2016. Year 10 student, Cameron, was also recognised for gaining the highest Grade Point Average across the entire school, achieving outstanding results in Stage 1 Physics and Maths Methods.

We wish the Class of 2016 every blessing as they enter a new phase in their lives, and look forward to continuing to hear of their successes in the years to follow.
