Celebrating 20 years

September 25 – 30  (Term 3, Week 10)

pt-photoWhen the bell rang on the first day of school back in 1997, we never could have imagined what would take place over the next twenty years. CityReach Baptist Church (then Prospect Baptist Church) relocated to Northgate with the purpose of starting a Christian school – on a block of land surrounded by empty paddocks. On that first day, the pioneering students, families, teachers, staff and volunteers began to lay the foundation of what we experience at Cedar College today.

In this, the 20th year of Cedar College, we are holding a Celebration Week to take the time to thank God and celebrate all that He has done. As you will see on the events programme, there are events for both Primary and High School students, as well as some events that are especially for families. There’s also a morning just for grandparents, and a special evening to celebrate with our past students and graduates.Event Programme

The after-school events, in particular, will provide the opportunity for families in the Cedar College community to visit our History Exhibition, view new facilities and be a part of the celebrations. We hope that you are able to join us as we honour thepast, look forward to what is ahead and, most importantly, give thanks to God – “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20 NLT)

Mr Peter Thomson
Cedar College Principal

To commemorate this significant year, we’ve created a number of special items including a School Pin, Drink Bottle, Pens and Wristband. These are now available from our Front Office, (quantities are limited) or you can use the Qkr! app to order and pay.
